好きこそ物の上手なれ
suki koso mono no jōzu nare

Meaning

What one likes, one will do well.

If you like it, you will master it fast.

A: 「すごい！　絵（え）がどんどんうまくなってる。」

B: 「うん、毎日（まいにち）描（か）いてるからね。めっちゃ楽（たの）しい。」

A: 「なるほど。好きこそ物の上手なれってことだね。」

A: "Great! Your drawing skill has been improving a lot."

B: "Yes, because I draw every day. It's so enjoyable."

A: "I see. What one likes, one will do well."

失敗は成功のもと	Failure is a stepping-stone to success.
言うは易し行なうは難し	It is easier said than done.
急いては事を仕損じる	Haste makes waste.
